“ Zuzu's Petals...I think I love you. Zuzu's Petals is a reference to the classic and timeless Christmas movie "It's a Wonderful Life". If you haven't watched it, do yourself and watch it. It's our holiday tradition to watch it every Christmas! This restaurant has movie references sprinkled throughout. Zuzu's Petals is located on the corner of Third St off of Alamitos Ave. in the city of Long Beach. Street parking is available, we parked around the corner on Fourth St. and the walk was not bad at all. Once you arrive, grab a menu and stand in line to order. Order inside at the counter and the host or hostess will let you know if you can seat yourself or they will seat you. I ordered The Bailey's which comes with 2 eggs, breakfast potatoes, sausage or bacon, and sourdough toast with spread. Everything on my plate was savory, well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I tried the pancakes which came with cinnamon creme fraiche and berries. Last but not least my coffee...I love coffee! It was Cinnamon Apple Latte, it was served iced. It was so rich and creamy, just the way I like my coffee. Service was great. Everyone was friendly and polite. We sat inside and everything was clean and well maintained. If you're local or even if you're not, you really should try Zuzu's Petals. Food, service, theme, are all great for a pleasant local eatery. I hope they upgrade to a larger location in the future! ”

“ To start off, the cashier was really nice. She had a smile on her face all the time which I liked because it made me and my boyfriend feel welcomed. The ambience was also really good. I do not like how they sit you at a certain table rather than choosing your own but that wasn't a big deal. The food was SOOOO GOOOD. The pancakes I got had a butter that had cinnamon if I'm correct, but they were delicious. As well as the potatoes and its sauce !! My boyfriend loved his sandwich and finished the whole thing. It was our first time trying this place and we would definitely come back. The michelada tasted soooooo good and I'm not a big mimosa girly but this one was actually good because it was apple cider and brown sugar as the rim. 10/10. Worth the trip. ”

“ My favorite brunch spot in Long Beach! Pear matcha was mind blowing! Breakfast burrito was perfect in terms of ratios of ingredients. And the brioche French toast --- I can't even begin to explain the burst of flavors in this!!! Absolutely must get! ”

“ Zuzu's Petals is on the corner of Olive and 3rd street. We waited in line for 25-30 mins and appreciated that the line moved along. We wanted to sit inside but were seated outside and it ended up being nice to sit outside. We ordered the Sweet Potato Pomegranate Pancakes, Turkey Sausage, The Skillet and a Lavender Rose Matcha Latte To-Go! Everything was delicious including the Matcha Latte. The food is pricy but I'd definitely return to try other menu items. ”

“ this place is a 'you order and seat yourself with a number' kind of place. we went on a weekday around 930-10 so it was not busy at all. we sat outside in the parklet seating and it was pleasant on a sunny day. they have a few stool and table indoor sitting and also patio seating as well. i'm so glad this establishment is doing well bc the past few places did not fare so well at this same spot. we were craving pancakes but didn't want a large breakfast so we got the kids menu item that came with scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage and a side of fruit. we liked that the kids scrambled eggs were soft scrambles! i do not enjoy over cooked eggs so this was a nice touch. the pancakes.. oh man. they are so yummy! perfect fluff and the blackberries were exceptionally fresh. loved the cinnamon mascarpone on the pancakes which goes well with the maple syrup. when we are hungry, we would love to try more of their offerings but i'm so glad we finally tried this place! they tend to get real busy during the weekend so stop in early to avoid the crowds. ”

“ Yummy food. Loved my smash burger. Pancakes were good as well. Super friendly staff. Seating can be competitive as it's first come first serve so just be prepared. Small patio attached and separate covered patio off the sidewalk in front. ”

“ Came here for a quick brunch. This is a walk up, order & sit down type of restaurant. Before placing your order they'll ask how many are in your party & assist with seating for you & your party. I like how small & quaint this place is. There is seating on the side walk and in their terrace. The employees are very nice & check on you a lot. It's quite nice. The food came out shortly after ordering, however it wasn't busy like it would be in a Saturday. I ordered the short rib sandwich. 10/10 I would get it again. The paring with arugula made it perfect! ”

“ Recent trip to Long Beach- found a great local brunch place- Zuzu's Petals. We came around 11 am and waited about 15 mins before we reach the counter to order and they guided us where to sit down. There is a line to control seating and freshness of the food that is prepared. Must get the crispy smashed potatoes. The smashed burger was juicy and flavorful. All their seasonal drinks were great- loved the jam n pear matcha latte. Service is great. Good Selection of food. Clean bathroom. Street parking was not too bad. Highly recommend. ”

“ Arrived on a Saturday afternoon, with a line out the door. The way it works is by waiting to place an order and the server will seat you. However, depending on if the place is busy which it was for Saturday brunch--we waited about 30-40 minutes to place an order. Then, it took about another 10-15 minutes for our food to come out after ordering. The food was worth the wait though! *Short Rib Benedict: 4/5 pretty tasty with the large chunks of short rib and with the mild sweetness from the sweet potato latkes - however personally, still lacked some type of flavor but was able to fix it with the help of Cholula *Crispy Potatoes: 6/5 w/ the spicy aioli - hands down favorite part of Zuzu's. couldn't help but scarf it down, wishing we had more *Agua Fresca: 5/5 - sweet, slightly tart, refreshing. not watered down *Sweet potato pancakes: 5/5 we were extremely full after sharing the potatoes and benedict but that didn't stop us from enjoying the pancakes. It's definitely a filling dish on its own, but the pomegranates were a nice touch to keep it from being too heavy. Really loved the peanut/almond?? butter on top Would come back again for the crispy potatoes alone!! ”

“ First time here Food was amazing my daughter order a smashed burger which was a 10/10 chicken and waffles 10/10 I ordered the eggs with toast and some sausage super good also 10/10 When u come here you wait in line to place your order at the counter their was a line I probably waited an hour in waiting ordering and getting seated The food came to our table within 15min I want to say ! The staff was really nice even though or looked busy The ambiance was really nice I like the music that's being played They have seating outside as well Parking really sucks but if your from lb you know that's an issue all over they don't have a parking structure so u have to street park ! Servers don't really check in on you , you flagged them down or just get up if u need anything Overall the experience was super nice it's a cute little spot with amazing food . ”
